This workshop is an opportunity to work under the guidance of a tutor to paint a watercolour landscape, as well as practising landscape elements such as skies and trees and foliage. Learn to relax using this beautiful medium to capture the world around you.
Beginners are welcome as well as those with a little experience of painting.
- Understand aerial perspective and how you can use it through layering to add depth to a landscape
- Use various methods and tools to paint skies, clouds, trees and foliage
- Be able to plan and compose a watercolour painting effectively
- Make watercolour a habit for capturing the world around you as a mindful way to relax
About the course: Discover the art of painting serene landscapes with watercolour in this immersive workshop designed for artists of all levels. You'll learn how to create depth using aerial perspective and layering techniques, and develop the skills to plan and compose compelling scenes
Who is this course for: People who would love to learn how to use watercolour to paint landscapes step-by-step in a fun, supportive and encouraging environment
Previous knowledge or experience: This course is ideal for those who have taken my watercolour for beginners course or who have had a small amount of experience with watercolour. Beginners are also welcome. Your tutor will contact you before the course starts to find out about your previous experience with art
How will I learn: You will learn from watching the tutor demonstrate techniques then having a go yourself
How will I be assessed: There is no formal assessment. You will receive encouragement and constructive feedback throughout the sessions
What shall I bring: Watercolour paper pad or block (cold pressed 300gsm) no smaller than A4, Watercolour paints (a small full pan set), a palette, water jar, paper towels, pencil and eraser, low tack masking tape (eg frog tape), masking fluid and ruling pen (optional)

If a learner decides to withdraw from a course before a course begins, the following charges should be made:
- 21 working days or more before course starts a full refund will be issued
- 7 - 20 working days before course starts a £10 admin fee will be charged
- Less than 7 working days before the course starts no refund will be made
Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
