That Awful Static Box: Agatha Christie on Screen
Pete Allen's talk looks at the directors and actors, from across the world, who have brought Christie’s stories to the screen despite that, from the earliest attempts, Agatha Christie was rarely a fan of adaptations of her work, or those who attempted to bring to life her most famous creations.

Pete Allen is Director of The RC Sherriff Trust, an arts charity founded through the will of playwright and author RC Sherriff. With a background in theatre production, directing and arts development, he has held roles including Assistant Head Flyman at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and Arts Development Officer for Elmbridge Borough Council. Pete has co-founded several youth theatre and film initiatives, led community arts projects, and continues to work extensively as a professional theatre director and filmmaker.

Event running time is around 40 minutes plus time for a Q&A. Waterstones will be present for book sales and signing before and after the main event.
