£28.50 Tuition plus £6 materials fee

An introduction to creating exciting and stunning summer garden inspired artwork
exploring both painting and drawing techniques.

Learning Goals:

• Investigate how other artists have explored the theme of summer blooms and collage within their own work
• Explore and apply a range of collage, mark making, drawing and painting materials and techniques to create artwork
• Explore and apply colour theory and composition in the creation of own artwork.
• Create mounted and finished artwork

About the course: This workshop will introduce you to the creating artwork exploring the theme of summer blooms. You will explore how to create collage paper backgrounds and then to experiment with water based paints and inks to continue to embellish your artwork. You will complete your artwork by using mark making
techniques. The outcomes will be expressive and fun

Who is this course for: Beginners to intermediate level

Previous knowledge or experience: None all abilities welcome

How will I learn: Tutor demonstrations, questions and answers, practical activities

How will I be assessed: Formative assessment only through Q and A, annotation/note taking, practical activities/samples/artwork

What shall I bring: Apron or wear old clothing, notebook or journal. Please bring £6 for materials

Next steps: Progression onto other creative learning in libraries workshops and/or courses

If a learner decides to withdraw from a course before a course begins, the following charges should be made:

• 21 working days or more before course starts a full refund will be issued
• 7 - 20 working days before course starts a £10 admin fee will be charged
• Less than 7 working days before the course starts no refund will be made

Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
