This workshop is designed for people looking to develop their linoprinting practice. Participants will learn to design, carve and print multicoloured images using a single A6 lino-block and just one pull through the press, by creating a jigsaw linoplate.

Tutors Aylsa Williams and Mandy Smith are artist printmakers who exhibit regularly in Southampton and beyond.

Participants will be guided through designing a lino-block, carving it into jigsaw pieces that are inked separately and reassembled to print a multicoloured image. Colour variations will be explored to create vibrant prints.

Personal sketches or ideas can be used (though not essential). Guidance will cover carving, mark making, inking, and printing. Wear old clothes or bring an apron.
