Join us for our popular four-week Skills, Health and Wellbeing Programme, delivered by Hampshire Achieves in partnership with Public Health, DWP, Citizen’s Advice, Mind and Be Active Hampshire. Based upon the Five Ways to Wellbeing, this programme aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to help you improve your overall health and wellbeing. Whether you are looking for work, local volunteering opportunities, meeting new people, or would like to develop useful skills such budgeting or creating targets, these sessions will give you practical tips and information on where to go, and what to do to support positive lifestyle choices.

Learning Goals:

  • Manage a household budget and discover a range of money-saving hints and tips
  • Practice simple strategies to manage stress and anxiety at home
  • Find the support and help available to be able to move into employment or volunteering
  • Create your own personal targets that are realistic and achievable
  • Know how to stay active for life on a budget

Who is this course for: This course, funded by UK government, is for Hampshire residents aged 19+ who want to develop a range of skills including employability skills, budgeting skills, confidence and wellbeing, target setting and how you can stay active for life on a budget. It will include advice and guidance on a range of self-care techniques and progression opportunities.

Please note: Eligibility criteria applies and will be checked upon enrolment.

Course purpose: Improving Health and Wellbeing

Previous knowledge or experience: No previous knowledge or experience is required

How will I learn: You will learn in a small, supportive group through a range of practical tasks, group discussions and activities. There will be expert speakers invited to join each session, and you will be given the opportunity to ask them questions.

How will I be assessed: Through active participation in group / individual activities and group discussions.

What shall I bring: No special equipment is necessary. You are welcome to bring along a drink and a snack. But most importantly, please bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn!

This course, funded by Hampshire Achieves, is aimed at Hampshire residents aged 19+. Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
