10.00am to 12.00pm

Explore the world of hands-on 3D art. Learn about different types of sculpture, the materials and techniques used, and the basics of how sculpture works as an art form. Learners will create sculptures that bring people together, encourage conversation, and help to build a stronger sense of community.

Learning Goals:

  • Apply the language used in sculpture from materials to technical processes to application.
  • Create your sculpture charts and records to use correct measurements for creating scaled models (Maquette).
  • List some key fundamentals to creating a sculpture from beginning to end.
  • Identify the value of using mathematics in all elements of your work from compositional structures, geometry in defining shapes and ratios in understanding life size to actual model proportions.
  • Discuss and share the techniques used in your sculptures.
