Shapeshifting snails, unexpected mini beasts, storytelling and papercraft! 

• An Introduction to Snails of the Unexpected, and Fergus and Shelby’s mission to save humankind from being turned into lettuces by an evil slug masquerading as the Prime Minister
• An interactive mollusc and bug quiz that reveals very unexpected facts about mini beasts…
• A chapter reading from the book showing the moment when Fergus the Snail shapeshifts for the first time (into a chocolate cupcake!)
• Storytelling workshop - children suggest their own ideas for what snails could shapeshift into (the more unexpected, the better!). We then write a chapter together using a giant squidgy dice to randomly select which items our heroes transform into along the way
• Activity - children then get the chance to create a paper snail in a crafting session
• The end - everyone shares their creations with the rest of us and they get to take home a bookmark

Suitable for ages 4-9.
