Learn the art of traditional calligraphy and how to take time out from our busy lives.
- Write the alphabet in Upper- and Lower-case letters
- Add embellishments to your work, such as borders and banners
- Produce 4 mindfulness phrases in different fonts
- State how mindfulness lettering helps you to relax
About the Course: On this course you will have the opportunity to explore the art of traditional calligraphy and lettering. You will learn about different fonts, upper- and lower-case letters, adding embellishments such as borders and banners to your work. The course will enable you to learn how you can take time out from your busy life and to reflect and allow yourself to be creative. You will learn how mindfulness art can help you to find something good in every day
Who is this course for: This course, funded by UK government is for Hampshire residents aged 19+ who are complete beginners
Previous Knowledge or Experience: none required, but a willingness to learn
How will I learn: Through face to face teaching and group discussion
How will I be assessed: A brief discussion at the start of the course will establish your starting point, your understanding and your expectations of the course. Final discussions at the end will establish your progress.
What shall I bring: Brush Pens
Calligraphy markers – 3.5mm and 2.0mm
Cartridge or Calligraphy paper
