Feel confident in creating a watercolour snow globe painting

Learning Goals:

• Undertake 3 ways of controlling water
• Use masking fluid to add effects
• Create a snow globe painting.

Who is this course for: Individuals looking to develop their creative skills in using watercolours
Previous knowledge or experience: Ideal for those wanting to gain confidence. A basic understanding of how to draw (i.e. shading, texture, highlights and shadows) is helpful but not essential.
How will I learn: Through a range of activities, demonstrations and practice.
How will I be assessed: Through completing activities and through class discussion.
What shall I bring:

• A range of watercolour paints (pan or tubes are fine)
• A drawing pencil (i.e. 2B)
•  Plenty of cartridge paper (preferably A4) for practicing and activities
• Heavier watercolour paper (A4) for your main pictures
• Some watercolour pencils if you have them
• Please also bring a water pot, cloth or kitchen roll, brushes and palette
• A small container of Salt
  
• A coin i.e. 2p coin
  
• Clingfilm if you already have some at home
• Small piece of thick card
• Masking fluid (coloured masking fluid is easier to use)

Please note that some of the techniques can get a bit messy. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on. You may also find an apron useful.

Refunds: If a learner decides to withdraw from a course before a course begins, the following charges should be made:

• 21 working days or more before course starts a full refund will be issue
• 7 - 20 working days before course starts a £10 admin fee will be charged
• Less than 7 working days before the course starts no refund will be made
