Zumba is more than just a workout – it’s a joyful way to support your health and wellbeing. It promotes physical fitness, enhances your mental wellbeing and encourages a positive relationship with exercise, making fitness fun, accessible, and something to look forward to.
Learning Goals:
- Improve different elements of your fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness).
- Develop coordination, sense of rhythm and musicality
- Identify how regular fitness can help prevent illness and promote physical and emotional health
Who is this course for: Anyone who would like to be more active, flexible and relaxed. Zumba targets different muscle groups and boosts your heart health. You not only get aerobic benefits (it really gets your heart rate up!), but also get anaerobic benefits – the kind that help you maintain a good cardiovascular respiratory system. Evidence shows there is a link between being physically active and good mental wellbeing .Regular exercise has been linked to decreasing stress, depression and anxiety
Previous knowledge or experience: No previous knowledge or experience is required. This is a medium-high intensity and medium impact (there are some jumps in the routines) course.

What shall I bring: You will need to wear suitable, loose clothing and trainers, and have a bottle of water to hand. All learners must complete a health checklist form prior to starting the course. You will need to have a safe, trip free space to Zumba in and your cameras on for the whole session.
